I have just installed SAP B1 9.0 PL05 in the Windows 7 Ultimate x86 as standalone server.
In this blog, I want to share my steps to install it.
The specification of this standalone server is as follows:
1. Intel Processor Core i5
2. RAM 4 Gb
The database platform is MS. SQL Server 2008 R2.
The complete SAP B1 9.0 PL05 (51046461) file folder consists of 12,617 Files and 2,988 Folders. The file folder size is 6.04 GB (6,496,952,172 bytes)
The first time I install the version by using the installation wizard (autorun.exe). The steps are as follows:
1. Server
2. Client
3. Integration Component
The step 1 was not successful.
The installation of server tools was successful and I could define the b1siteuser password. Next, when installation of application server took place, the wizard could not continue to install because the system failed to identify the b1siteuser password.
The work around I used is to install the SAP B1 from Packages folder. The steps to install are:
1. Server Tools
2. Server
After finishing to install the server tools and server, I installed Outlook integration server, Client and Integration Component by using the installation wizard. So, I run the autorun.exe to open the SAP B1 9.0 installation wizard and installing them all.
The rest component installations were also successfully accomplished. Here is the screen capture my OS info and SAP B1 9.0 complete installation :
When installing the SAP Business One Client (32-bit), the DI API (32-bit) tick box is grey out (see the following print screen: I marked with a brown box) but the DI API (64-bit) is not (I marked with green box).
Do not worry because when you install SAP Business One Client (32-bit), the DI API (32-bit) is also installed together.
Do not forget your b1siteuser password and request a license in the partner portal or customer portal. The evaluation period only lasts 31 days.
Good Luck
